Master Maker Crafts was founded on decades of experience and a shared passion for helping makers turn their creativity into something meaningful. Co-founder Debbie May brings more than 30 years of leadership in the soap, cosmetic, and craft supply industry. She is the founder of Wholesale Supplies Plus and Crafter’s Choice, where she helped thousands of makers build successful handmade businesses.

That experience is carried forward by Debbie’s youngest daughter and co-founder, Katie May. With a background in education and her own journey as a small business maker, Katie brings a fresh perspective shaped by today’s creative entrepreneurs. She understands the challenges makers face—from rising supply costs and finding reliable sources to learning new skills and building profitable products. Her hands-on experience creating and selling custom UV DTF tumblers, apparel, and handmade products helps ensure Master Maker Crafts delivers supplies makers can trust and products customers want to buy.
Today, Katie leads Master Maker Crafts with a clear vision of helping makers create, learn, and grow. She is supported by a dedicated team that shares her commitment to quality products, exceptional service, and helping customers succeed. Debbie continues to serve as a trusted advisor and mentor, sharing more than three decades of industry experience as Master Maker Crafts continues to grow. Where It All Began
Katie’s story started at age 15, making soap and helping customers at Handmade Studio. Even then, what she loved most wasn’t just creating products—it was helping other people learn to create. Watching someone’s confidence grow as they mastered a new skill and proudly shared something they made sparked a passion that continues to guide her today.
That passion led Katie to study Early Childhood Education and Reading Intervention in college. She loved teaching, but she soon realized her true calling was helping makers. Whether teaching a new technique, solving a creative challenge, or encouraging someone to take the next step, she found the greatest reward in helping people discover what they were capable of creating.
Along the way, Katie put those lessons into practice herself. She built a business selling custom UV DTF tumblers and DTF apparel, using creativity, determination, and practical business skills to help pay for college. Through that experience, she learned firsthand how quality supplies, a willingness to learn, and consistent effort can transform a hobby into a profitable small business.
Today, Katie brings that same maker-first mindset to Master Maker Crafts. She helps develop product collections, educational resources, and trusted supplies for makers who want to create products they can be proud of—and potentially sell. Her passion is helping people discover crafts with approachable learning curves, reasonable startup costs, and real opportunities for success. From soap making and body care products to custom drinkware, apparel decoration, home fragrance products, and other handmade goods, she believes creativity should be accessible to everyone.
Having built and sold her own products, Katie understands that success often comes from choosing crafts that allow makers to get started quickly, build confidence, and create products customers are excited to buy. Whether someone is making gifts for family and friends, earning extra income, or working toward a full-time handmade business, she believes the right products, education, and support can make all the difference.
As Master Maker Crafts expands its soap making supplies, cosmetic ingredients, fragrance oils, body care bases, and maker education resources, Katie’s story has come full circle—returning to the craft that first inspired her journey while helping a new generation of makers learn, create, and build something of their own.

Every order is packed and shipped by an in-house team that believes in the power of making. We understand that behind every order is a creative project, a handmade gift, a side hustle, or a growing business. From customer service and product sourcing to warehouse operations and order fulfillment, our team works together to deliver the quality, service, and reliability our customers expect.
