Craft Vinyl

Permanent vinyl is judged six months after the sale, not the day it's applied. Adhesive that weakens, color that fades in sunlight, or edges that curl up on a curved surface all show up as refund requests weeks after the customer has forgotten the original purchase. Every roll in this collection is tested for real-world durability — strong adhesion, color hold, and resistance to daily use. The cheap vinyl that looks fine on day one often fails slowly enough that you've already shipped more orders by the time you notice. For makers running drinkware, sign, or decal product lines, permanent vinyl is load-bearing for the whole business.

Surface prep is the biggest factor in how long the finished piece lasts. Alcohol-wipe every blank before applying, let it dry completely, and avoid touching the application area with bare hands. Oils from skin reduce adhesion in ways that aren't visible for weeks. Burnishing matters too — a firm pass over every edge with a squeegee or credit card forces air out and presses the adhesive into every pore of the surface. Rushed application is the most common cause of lifted corners. For curved surfaces like tumblers and mugs, warm the vinyl slightly with a hair dryer to help it conform. Cold vinyl on a curved blank lifts at the edges almost every time it's applied.
